The Oster Professional 76023-510 Fast Feed Clipper with Adjustable Blade includes a whisper-quiet clipper equipped with a pivot motor. The pivot motor is twice more powerful compared to other clippers with magnetic motors.
This clipper has an attached 3 pronged power cord. It is a fast feed adjustable clipper with a blade that can be adjusted from size 000 to size 1. There are optional blade sets that are sold separately namely the #76913-506 and #76913-536.
The whole package includes four guide combs, blade guard, blade oil and a cleaning brush. It does not come with a case for storage.
Four guide combs
The product also ships with 4 guide combs that are made of plastic. The sizes of these attachments are ½”, ¼”, 3/8” and blending. Blending is used if one wants the shortest possible haircut. Note that this is not ideal for really short haircuts.
With the accessory attached, the clipper tends to make more noise than usual. Otherwise, it lives up to its whisper-quiet claim. These attachments should be properly fitted in order to get the best results. If it isn’t, it can pull hair, cause uneven cuts and it is noisy. The one cutting hair should also try to avoid the sharp clips from touching the skin.
Durable and versatile
This clipper can be used for different hair types. It can easily change the length of the cut from very close to medium length.
However, for those thinking of buying this product for their pets, it is not good for grooming poodles. Its attachments are limited to certain lengths of cuts. It cannot be used for shaving and it might not give the best results around the ears or sideburns.
The clipper itself is durable. The same cannot be said for the attachments that are made of plastic. Still, this product can last for many years and the other parts can be replaced.
